We've been baking, glazing, and slinging buttercream frosting in small batches since 2009. All of our cakes, buttercream frostings, and jams are made from scratch ingredients on premise. Our one-of-a-kind artisan cake balls are available daily while supplies last. Layer cakes are available by the slice in our shop daily! Whole cakes must be ordered 2+ days in advance.
BIG Bundts & More is independently-owned and was born with a mission to create handcrafted small-batch buttercream cakes for every customer. The bakery originally launched as a home-based bakery in Chapel Hill in 2009, We sold our baked goods at the Chapel Hill Farmers' Market and Southern Village stalls. In 2012, we outfitted a small 500 square foot space primarily as a wholesale location at Straw Valley in Durham. We soon realized the importance in reaching our customers quicker and needing a more accessible shop location. In April 2016, our business moved into the former Hummingbird Bakery location at 721 Broad St, Durham.

Our story continues as we explore our true passion in cakes. Our name BIG Bundts & More was originally created when our focus was bundt cakes, brownies, cookies, scones and even some pies. Over time, our buttercream cake business grew and we launched our new cake ball collection. We naturally morphed in to a buttercream cake and cake ball business and embraced a name addition... Cake Lounge!
